SUMMARY

Our delivery drivers run an established, local route, delivering product to retail stores and restaurants in the Kansas territory. Must possess an A class CDL . This is a VERY physical job. Work schedule is Tuesday through Friday and will very slightly based on holidays or business needs. We offer competitive pay with driver bonuses paid each pay period.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES – Driver

  • Drives heavy “straight” truck, PUP or automobile over established route.
  • Drives in a safe and lawful manner. Maintains an acceptable driving record.
  • Cleans and performs pre-trip inspections on truck.
  • Provides excellent customer service while delivering products to retail stores or restaurants on a daily basis.
  • Rotates stock, lifts and stacks products inside customer premises.
  • Interacts with members of the sales and merchandising teams.
  • Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck or dolly.
  • Pads, stacks and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment.
  • Collects proper payment (cash or check) for invoice at time of delivery.

  • Collects boxes for repackaging of product.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

LANGUAGE

Day Shift Warehouse Associate – Lawrence, KS[+]

We are currently looking for a production technician to support our graphics department. This position would involve preparing graphic files for both small and large format digital printing and sending those files to various output devices while monitoring output to ensure accuracy and print quality. Job Description

The Director of Transportation will report directly to the Sr. Vice President of Operations and will provide overall leadership, direction and support to the Transportation team. He/she will ensure effective and efficient execution of all daily transportation operations, with additional responsibility to achieve continuously improving results in safety, quality, service, and cost performance. The Director of Transportation will have responsibility for defining and establishing solutions for long-term sustainability objectives for each area of the Transportation department; including developing and implementing specific near-term and long-range plans, as well as identifying key performance metrics for measuring and improving operational efficiencies.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both transportation and fleet management, preferably in the food or beverage industry. The candidate must possess demonstrated leadership skills as well as a history of progressive responsibility. 5+ years of experience in a senior-level transportation role is preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Transportation department, including direct management of 30+ employees.
  • Evaluate existing transportation and delivery framework (equipment, processes, people, technology, etc.) to understand how we can improve and build on the existing system.
  • Drive and actively manage initiatives, programs, and processes that support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Apply practices that motivate employees, relay growth opportunities, drive execution of policies/ procedures and implement corrective measures if necessary to ensure productivity levels are met.
  • Plan, monitor and follow-up on daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards while maximizing asset utilization.

  • Lead the Transportation team in the achievement of all KPI’s and driver scorecard goals, including those related to safety, productivity, efficiency and customer service.
  • Establish objectives that ensure financial performance, safety, quality, and customer service in compliance with all applicable internal and external policies.
  • Evaluate customer routing and identify, develop and implement appropriate strategies to ensure operational efficiencies are maximized.
  • Manage and record all repairs, maintenance, fuel and operational costs of the fleet.

Requirements

Role Description

Standard Beverage is looking for dependable, experienced, results-driven and customer-focused Line Haul drivers for our Lawrence, Kansas distribution center. Our Line Haul drivers enjoy static routes, are home daily, and have 3 day weekends. Current Class A CDL with Doubles and Triple endorsements is required for this job. Work schedule is Monday thru Thursday from approximately 8PM until 6AM, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. The Line Haul driver will transfer trailers from our distribution center in Lawrence to a depot in Wichita, Iola, Junction City, Dodge City or Hays, Kansas, and then will drop and hook and return back to the Lawrence distribution center. Must have doubles/triples endorsements and experience pulling doubles/triples to be considered.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Pull double or triple 28′ trailers over an established route.
  • Drop trailers at designated depots and hook empty trailers to return back to our Lawrence, Kansas distribution center the same day.

Must be able to communicate and interact well with coworkers and managers

Ability to function with minimal supervision and handle multiple task simultaneously

Must be able to work in a loud environment around conveyor systems and moving equipment

Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment. Temperatures in our warehouse may vary between 60 and 90 degrees, and may occasionally exceed 90 degrees.

Must be at least 18 years old

Willing and able to work all shifts
