Our night-shift employees enjoy a 4-day work week, Monday thru Thursday nights, with weekends off! Shift runs from approximately 5:00 PM to 4:00 AM. Open positions include:

Job responsibilities may include:

· Accurately picking orders on pick lines using printed pick labels, RF guns or voice command software

· Placing individual cases onto conveyor lines while maintaining product quality

· Operating a fork lift or cherry picker to pull product (forklift driver positions only)

· Operating a forklift to replenish picking locations and move product throughout the warehouse

· Loading product securely onto trailers by floor stacking cases and pallets

· Utilize electric pallet jack to load pallets on trailers

· Cross-training and working other departments as necessary

· Meeting all productivity requirements

· Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area

· Following standard operating procedures and adhering to all safety standards

· General housekeeping and sanitation tasks will be required

Requirements:

· Must be able to report for all assigned shifts

Role Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to become an integral part of our Lawrence, KS based IT team.  The Programmer Analyst requires an individual comfortable working with our IBM iSeries/Power8 system built on RPG ILE along with several integrations to it in the short term while focusing on our long-term goals of moving to more modern systems.  As our company transcends from legacy to modern platforms, this key role will have opportunities for tremendous technological and business analytics growth as well as direct influence in our technology investments.  Our team will leverage your analyst talents to decompose our current stack of applications, identify opportunities for improved user experience and efficiencies while working hand in hand with our users.  Our team is agile and motivated, we enjoy moving the IT needle and have the freedom to do so with the backing or our leadership team.

 

The ability to develop integration designs and documentation for technology solutions supported internally or by third-party vendors is a must.  Design documentation includes scope, functional specifications, flowcharts, object modeling, and wireframing UI concepts.  The candidate must be comfortable creating well-structured project plans that detail responsibilities, timing and dependencies to ensure projects stay on track.  Engage with customers/vendors/consultants as needed and driving projects to completion on time and within budget.  Must possess a high level of organization to streamline project tracking and creating organic efficiencies.

 

Some of the sand boxes you will be playing in:

  • ERP built on IBM Power8 system. RPG IV ILE extensively utilizing FREE and Structured SQL.  Mirrored production and HA servers using iTera; geographically separately.
  • Warehouse Mobile Devices connected to ERP for warehouse operations using StayLinked extends native RPG programs for WMS tasks.
  • Windows Middleware solution used to connect and move data between systems. Built on Java.
  • Windows Web Server hosting our ecommerce site. Built using Visual Studio 2019, written using C#, using MVC, connected to MS SQL Server and interacting with ERP using web services.  Inhouse design and support.  Development maintained by off-shore resources.
  • iOS Mobile Sales solution used by 200 sales reps with Integrations to ERP
  • iOS Mobile Delivery solution used by 54 drivers with Integrations to ERP
  • Interact with our infrastructure team that supports our robust Vmware infrastructure with offsite DR facility. All windows systems backup using Veeam solutions for both on premise and cloud recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead meetings related to application focused discussions to review and gather information regarding gaps in business requirements, compile and breakdown those requirements, and determine approach to fulfill those requirements leveraging existing technology investments or pursuing new ones.
  • Work directly with our ERP Developer to conduct Code review of development modifications and new modules. Responsible for verifying business logic yields expected results as outlined in design documents before promoting code.
  • Manage vendors/consultants targeting excellent value for their time and results.
  • Understand our business solutions and each integration point to appropriately diagnose and expediently support our business users.
  • Lead and/or assist in training our users in adapting to software improvements or learn how to use entirely new solutions. Work alongside our Support Specialist to create training plans and class room documentation to guide the training session succinctly and within the allocated time window.
  • Assist with system upgrades by engaging with vendors and services, creating and executing against a detailed project plan and conducting several iterations of testing before promoting changes to minimize impacts to end users.
  • Steer internal discussions to prioritize software enhancements and software projects.
  • Adhere to current documentation methodologies and contributes to existing knowledgebase.

  • Maintain fresh products by stocking and rotating, organizing, and refilling back stocks, cold boxes/coolers, shelves, and displays adhering to all quality and rotation policies.

As part of our commitment to continue to grow our business, we are currently underway with a $28M expansion of our Lawrence, Kansas distribution center, including the addition of a brand new, state-of-the-art Material Handling System. As part of this expansion, we will be constructing 115,000 sq./ft of additional warehouse space, including new employee spaces, break room, locker rooms, wellness room and hospitality area. The project is expected to be completed towards the early part of 2022, with a “go-live” date of April 2022. Once completed, our Distribution Center will span nearly 350,000 sq./ft and will give us the ability to ship upwards of 80,000 cases per night.

 

 

Role Description

The Night Operations Manager will be based out of our Lawrence, Kansas distribution center and will report to the Director of Operations. This position will provide hands-on leadership and direction to a team of approximately 50+ warehouse associates while ensuring effective and efficient execution of all nightly distribution operations. The role will have responsibility for production planning and strategy, labor management, development of key metrics and KPI’s, as well as challenging current processes and implementing operational improvements. Having a strong ability to lead a team with a hands-on approach to developing talent, along with the ability to develop and drive continuous process improvement will be critical requirements for this role.

 

The ideal candidate will have an extremely strong work ethic along with exceptional leadership skills and the ability to provide both strategic and tactical direction to achieve organizational objectives. The candidate will also have a demonstrated background in warehousing or distribution, with a proven ability to manage and develop top-level talent. Additionally, the candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results while managing and prioritizing multiple work streams simultaneously.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-on leadership to develop and drive all nightly production initiatives, workflow, and processes.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and lead production efforts by integrating and aligning operational functions and processes with business goals.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire direct reports; apply advanced interpersonal and communication skills to motivate the workforce, drive execution of policies/procedures and implement corrective measures to ensure expectations and objectives are met.

Job Description

Candidates should be dedicated and regimented in their approach, but able to adjust to a wide variety of customer needs and requests.  Customer service and focus will be the key to success in this role. Individuals who are both competitive and aggressive in nature are often very successful in these roles, therefore these personality traits are preferred in the ideal candidate. The model applicant will also have experience in either Liquor Sales or Hospitality Beverage Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Develop outstanding relationships with customers, co-workers, and suppliers while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to current route scheduled calls, as well as seek out and create new customer leads.
  • Physical exertion will be necessary to achieve desired levels of account management.
  • Attain distribution of new and existing products, as well as, continued emphasis of current brands in the areas of sizes and brand extension.
  • Keep customers current on changes in pricing, including start/return/end of sales.
  • Prepare reports, which include product distribution and positioning, display tracking, target accounts for specific products, and sales expenses.
  • Sell/maintain Standard Beverage products in the market.
  • Strive to continually overtake the competition on every level, individually and as a team with other members of the division/company.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience that is determined to be directly related to the foregoing specified requirements may be considered for substitution.
  • Strong persuasive presentations skills, including the ability to speak before large audiences both internally and externally.
  • Background or experience in the beverage or restaurant/bar industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry, including knowledge of wine, wine terms, and growing techniques helpful.
  • Passion for wine, spirits and beer with the ability to continuously learn new brands and represent effectively to customers.
  • High level of integrity, commitment, and possess a strong work ethic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

  • Valid Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment in order to qualify for a Kansas ABC Sales License.
