Role Description

The Director of Warehouse Operations will report directly to the Sr. Vice President of Operations. This role will provide overall leadership, direction and support to the Operations team to ensure effective and efficient execution of all daily warehouse operations, with additional responsibility to achieve continuously improving results in safety, quality, service, and cost performance. The Director of Warehouse Operations will have responsibility for acquiring a deep understanding of all areas of Operations, as well as defining and establishing solutions for long-term sustainability objectives; including challenging current processes and developing and implementing specific near-term and long-range plans. Identifying and developing key performance metrics for measuring, reporting and improving operational efficiencies will be a critical requirement for this position.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong, demonstrated background in warehouse/distribution management with experience leading a workforce. The candidate must possess exceptionally strong leadership skills and teaming capabilities with the ability to provide both strategic and tactical direction to drive continuous improvement and achieve organizational objectives. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams simultaneously.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive operations initiatives, programs, and processes to enable the organization to deliver strategic company business plans and growth initiatives.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control the course of operations by integrating and coordinating operational functions and processes with business goals.
  • Define, implement and measure operational KPI’s and practices including those related to safety, productivity, inventory, efficiency, internal controls and customer service.
  • Maximize operational efficiencies using defined metrics to continuously improve performance and exceed customer standards.
  • Implement, enhance and maintain operational processes, procedures and improvements.
  • Develop growth strategy so that warehouse operations are able to excel in a period of rapid growth.
  • Regularly challenge and evaluate current systems and processes in all functional areas of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Vice President of Operations to ensure accurate operational forecasting and identify opportunities to reduce costs, enhance margins and improve production efficiencies.
  • Establish and meet objectives, financial performance, safety, quality, and customer service in compliance with all applicable internal and external policies.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining internal inventory control practices to reduce breakage and shrinkage.
  • Supervise and manage direct reports; apply advanced interpersonal and communication skills to motivate the workforce, relay growth opportunities, drive execution of policies/procedures and implement corrective measures if necessary to ensure productivity levels are met.
  • Lead and support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe working environment, including management of the Safety Committee and coordinating the investigation of accidents or unsafe acts/conditions.
  • Enforce general company policies through coaching and disciplinary documentation.
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization, including Senior Leadership to execute the overall strategic plan.
  • Engage with and manage outside parties (vendors, consultants, etc.) to ensure we have the appropriate knowledge, expertise and best-practices of them as well as other distributors included in our existing operations framework and processes.

 

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated progression in warehouse operations management roles.
  • Experience in managing and leading teams of employees.
  • Strong background in managing process improvement/efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated planning, project management, problem solving techniques and analytical skills; able to partner and communicate with all levels of an organization from hourly associates to senior management, as well as with customer contacts.
  • Beverage industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong, working knowledge of AS400, SAP, or other relevant warehouse management systems.
  • Able to understand financial statements and resulting cost implications.
  • Results-oriented attitude with a proven track record of ensuring key deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity and honesty in all aspects.
  • Highly effective written communications and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing demands.

Standard Beverage is looking for dependable, experienced, results-driven and customer-focused delivery drivers for distribution to retail stores and restaurants across the state of Kansas.  We have opportunities in Lawrence and Wichita, as well as South-East and Western Kansas.  Our drivers are home nightly and enjoy 3-day weekends. Current Class A CDL is required for this job.

Role Description

Our delivery drivers run an established, local route, delivering product to retail stores and restaurants in the State of Kansas. Must possess a class A CDL . This is a VERY physical job. Work schedule is Tuesday through Friday and will very slightly based on holidays or business needs. We offer competitive pay with driver bonuses paid monthly, quarterly, and annually.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drives heavy “straight” truck, PUP or automobile over established route.
  • Pads, stacks and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment.
  • Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck, electric pallet jack or dolly.
  • Rotates stock, lifts and stacks products inside customer premises.

Role Description

A Retail Specialist is responsible for ensuring assigned customer accounts are consumer ready; this entails stocking the store shelves and cold boxes/coolers with fresh products, by building displays to draw attention to our products, and by providing exceptional service to our retail clients. Key Responsibilities

Maintain fresh products by stocking and rotating, organizing, and refilling back stocks, cold boxes/coolers, shelves, beer caves and displays adhering to all quality and rotation policies.

Ensure all Standard Beverage SKUs are priced appropriately and meet standards of visibility.

Job Description

This position will report directly to the Wichita Warehouse Lead. General job duties will include opening the Wichita warehouse, pulling kegs from the keg cooler, assisting drivers with departure each morning,  samples tracking / distribution / record keeping, tracking, receiving and distribution of Point Of Sale (POS), organization of the warehouse, filling all customer dock orders, route reconciliation, returns processing, wrapping pallets for returns and general maintenance of the facility. This position requires excellent organizational skills along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of general warehousing practices, as well as the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Previous experience in the alcohol beverage industry is preferred.

 

Shift Details

Monday 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 AM – 11:30 AM

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Receive all incoming shipments and materials from UPS, FedEx and other carriers
  • Utilize warehouse equipment (fork truck, power jack, hand truck, etc.)
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and Point of Sale
  • Fill all Point of Sale requests submitted by sales force
  • Log received items and store in assigned locations
  • Ensure a safe working environment in the warehouse, storage areas and docks at all times
  • Separate HOT SHOT / POS / Club Route and make sure they go on trucks accordingly
  • General facilities maintenance
  • Daily upkeep of facility including emptying trash, sweeping floors, floor cleaning and cardboard recycling

During the past year, the Kansas legislature has implemented significant changes that will allow us to begin selling our strong beer portfolio to grocery and convenience stores around the state beginning April 1, 2019.  This legislative change has led us to re-evaluate our strategy, current organization and plans.  We are committed to moving forward to serve this new customer base, and are excited to expand our presence in a customer channel we have not historically served.  We understand the effort to get ready by April 1, 2019 will be a major commitment of both resources and dollars, and we are moving forward in an aggressive manner to recruit a number of important positions including this one.

 

 

Role Description

Standard Beverage is looking for dependable, experienced, results-driven and customer-focused Line Haul drivers for our Lawrence, Kansas distribution center. Our Line Haul drivers enjoy static routes, are home daily, and have 3 day weekends. Current Class A CDL with Doubles and Triple endorsements is required for this job. Work schedule is Monday thru Thursday from approximately 8PM until 6AM, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. The Line Haul driver will transfer trailers from our distribution center in Lawrence to a depot in Wichita, Iola, Junction City, Dodge City or Hays, Kansas, and then will drop and hook and return back to the Lawrence distribution center. Must have doubles/triples endorsements and experience pulling doubles/triples to be considered.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Pull double or triple 28′ trailers over an established route.
  • Drop trailers at designated depots and hook empty trailers to return back to our Lawrence, Kansas distribution center the same day.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers.
  • Utilize ELD (Electronic Logging Device) to log and track hours of service.
  • Drive in a safe manner.
  • Follow all state regulatory and D.O.T guidelines.

 

Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Med Card)
  • Doubles/Triples endorsements
  • Experience pulling doubles or triples
  • Must have an acceptable MVR
  • Must pass DOT drug screen for consideration

Role Description

role of the Accounts Payable Specialist is responsibility for the full cycle of accounts payable functions and
system monitoring to ensure company financial policies and procedures are followed, with vendors paid timely
and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
 Review and verify high volume of vendor invoices for appropriate approvals, coding and costs.
 Key accounts payable invoices into system daily.
 Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments in accordance with policies.
 Research past due invoices, reconcile vendor statements and investigate any discrepancies.
 Answer vendor and customer inquiries.
 Maintain accounts payable document files and reconcile related balance sheets.
 Depth of knowledge utilizing technology with a high in Microsoft Excel.

 Assist in monthly close process related to accounts payable accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience that is determined to be directly related to the foregoing specified requirements may be considered for substitution.

  • Background or experience in the beverage or restaurant/bar industry a plus.
