Standard Beverage is currently hiring experienced fork lift and cherry picker operators to serve in the role of an order selector for the night-shift in our Lawrence, Kansas distribution center. Our employees enjoy a 4-day work week, Monday thru Thursday nights, with weekends off! Our night shift runs from approximately 5:00 pm to 4:00 am but may end earlier or later depending on volume. Previous, demonstrated cherry picker or fork lift experience is required.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Operating a cherry picker or fork lift to pick products from warehouse rack locations and bulk storage locations
  • Pulling and stacking product on pallets by using pick labels or RF gun
  • Placing shipping labels on cartons
  • Moving pallets of product throughout the warehouse and staging at specific drop points
  • Utilizing RF gun to report inventory discrepancies in the warehouse
  • Stacking and sorting empty pallets
  • Performing pre and post-shift equipment inspections
  • Changing, watering and charging equipment batteries as needed
  • Meeting all productivity requirements
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area
  • Following standard operating procedures and adhering to all safety standards
  • Cross-training and working other departments as necessary

Job Description

Position: Full-Case Line order picker

 

As a Full-Case Line orders picker your primary job responsibilities will include:

 

  • Using printed pick labels to pick full cases from designated picking locations in your zone
  • Accurately identify location ID and product description for pick suggestions
  • Accurately follow wave/sub-wave sequencing from picking labels
  • Apply picking labels to individual cases
  • Safely and securely pick individual cases from pallets and place onto the conveyor line
  • Use totes to reduce damage of non-conveyable items
  • Meet or exceed minimum picking rate standards
  • Utilize headset to communicate with other pickers on your line
  • Communicate product outs to the line stocker in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly assigned work area
  • Emptying trash as needed to keep work are clean of debris
  • Sweeping and mopping of floors at the end of your shift
  • Cross-training and helping out in other areas of the warehouse as needed

Role Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain fresh products by stocking and rotating, organizing, and refilling back stocks, cold boxes/coolers, shelves, and displays adhering to all quality and rotation policies.

  • Background or experience in the beverage or restaurant/bar industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry is helpful.
  • Physical exertion will be necessary to achieve desired levels of account management. The employee must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 175 lbs. when handling kegs.

  • Valid Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver license and maintain auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the Company and state law.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment in order to sell alcohol in the state of Kansas.

Standard Beverage is looking for dependable, experienced, results-driven and customer-focused delivery drivers for distribution to retail stores and restaurants across the state of Kansas.  We have opportunities in Lawrence and Wichita, as well as South-East and Western Kansas.  Our drivers are home nightly and enjoy 3-day weekends. Current Class A CDL is required for this job.

Role Description

Our delivery drivers run an established, local route, delivering product to retail stores and restaurants in the State of Kansas. Must possess a class A CDL . This is a VERY physical job. Work schedule is Tuesday through Friday and will very slightly based on holidays or business needs. We offer competitive pay with driver bonuses paid monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drives heavy “straight” truck, PUP or automobile over established route.
  • Pads, stacks and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment.
  • Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck, electric pallet jack or dolly.
  • Rotates stock, lifts and stacks products inside customer premises.
  • Helps maintain or merchandise displays, shelves and cold-boxes.
  • Provides excellent customer service on a daily basis.
  • Collects proper payment (cash or check) for invoice at time of delivery.
  • Records damages, changes and discrepancies on invoices at time of delivery.
  • Meets or exceeds all productivity standards.
  • Interacts with members of the sales and merchandising teams.

Requirements

  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
    • Valid Commercial Drivers License- Class A

Role Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to become an integral part of our IT team.  Our company requires an individual that is comfortable in an agile environment and enjoys opportunities to cross into multiple facets of IT.  This position will emphasize in supporting our business users by providing infrastructure support as well as understanding our applications and providing troubleshooting assistance.  The overall infrastructure architecture is managed by the Infrastructure Manager, which will leverage the Systems Administrator II in assisting with planning and executing infrastructure projects.  Additionally, this role may seek out technical resources from IT consulting companies to provide guidance for more senior level and complex projects resulting in managing hours and spend for professional services.  Lastly, you will work closely with our other Systems Administrator to share responsibilities in learning, understanding, and supporting our current infrastructure and rooting out innovations for more streamlined and resilient technical methodologies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand our business solutions and how they integrate into our overall infrastructure in order to appropriately diagnose and expediently support our business users.
  • Proactively communicate system changes to users clearly to properly prepare them for required events that may impact their ability to access systems. This may include email blasts, conference calls, virtual conferencing and/or live sessions.
  • Management of active directory including user accounts, permissions, email, and group policies.
  • Mitigate system issues proactively by setting up and utilizing system monitoring solutions to identify potential risks and preemptively resolving before issue(s) impacts production.
  • Assists with system upgrades by creating and executing against a detailed project plan and conducting several iterations of testing before promoting changes in order to minimize impacts on end users.
  • Help define and drive security policies and solutions to protect systems and information.
  • Collaborate with team to streamline onboarding processes allowing for a consistent and streamlined new hire experience, including license acquisition, device procurement and build, and user setup.

Role Description
Standard Beverage is seeking an Accountant to join our team based in our Wichita office. The Accountant will have
primary responsibility for Supplier, Customer and Vendor processes and inquiries while maintaining related
document files and balance sheets.
Key Responsibilities
• Key contact for payables and receivables. Strong desire to understand root cause when reviewing
discrepancies. Research past due invoices, statements, manage follow up with the use of aging reports and
investigate any discrepancies.
• Daily audit of high-volume payables invoices for appropriate coding and costs using a newly implemented
accounts payable workflow software.
• System monitoring to ensure company financial policies and procedures are followed, with timely
application of payment and accuracy.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and electronic payments in accordance with policies.
• Process weekly and monthly purchasing card program and bi-weekly expense reimbursement.
• Complete bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly filings and compliance reports to include: gallonage tax,
enforcement tax, use tax, customs payments.
• Exceptional attention to detail. Desire to buy in on processes and manage to company policy.
• Assist in timely, monthly closing. Experience in processes and coordination effort needed to ensure
accurate financial statements are published.
• Comprehension of balance sheet reconciliations and ability to prepare them for review each month,
including but not limited to Receivables, Cash and Fixed Assets.
• Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
• Associates degree and 3+ years of relevant experience required.
• Depth of knowledge utilizing technology with a high focus in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills are critical.
• Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic environment with a desire to meet
deadlines and complete high-volume accounting activities.

Role Description

Standard Beverage is currently seeking a Project Manager to be based out of our Lawrence, KS distribution center.  The Project Manager will report to the Senior Vice President Operations and will be responsible for providing detailed support, coordination, and management of capital expansion projects.  Responsibilities and duties include overseeing and coordinating the planning, scoping, estimating, execution, and the completion of capital expansion projects on time and within budget. This position may also require the candidate to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of project scope of work, cost estimates, schedules, work plans, and resource requirements as part of the initiation and planning phases of the project life cycle.
  • Receive and coordinate compilation of request for proposals, reviews project proposal, establishes work plan and manages contractors to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Set project timelines and key milestone dates.
  • Perform project budgeting and related financial cash flow forecasting.
  • Assist in evaluating and obtaining approval of changes to project scopes, budgets, and/or schedules and completing all required documentation of changes.
  • Monitor project deliverables.
  • Experience with the coordination of on-site activities involving many (sub)contractors vying for the same space and time windows.
  • Regularly update relevant stakeholders about the progress of projects, potential problems and/or other concerns.
  • Maintain required project documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years project management experience, including project budgeting and accounting, proposal review, and design/value engineering.
  • Experience as a project team leader responsible for the completion of complex capital projects.
  • Project management software experience.
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple teams to resolve issues and/or complete projects; strong ownership of tasks/deadlines/projects.
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Change agent – Not afraid to “rock the boat” in a constructive, positive manner; always searching for ways to improve even when business/financial results are positive.
