Position details: We are searching for a sharp, dynamic accounting person who is aspiring for a challenging growth opportunity.  The Accounts Payable Accountant will handle all aspects of payables for Standard Beverage Corporation.  This person will also assist with other accounting processes such as expense report processing, accounts receivable and month end close.

  • Review and audit incoming invoices for appropriate approvals, coding and costs.
  • Key accounts payable invoices into system daily.
  • Review weekly check runs.
  • Research past due invoices, reconcile vendor statements and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Answer vendor and customer inquiries.
  • Maintain accounts payable files including balance sheets.
  • Assist with bi-weekly expense reimbursement.
  • Process daily accounts receivable.
  • Assist in monthly closings.
  • Backup for tax filings including industry specific taxes, use tax and 1099 filing.
  • Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Four year degree in related field and 3+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

SUMMARY

Our delivery drivers run an established, local route, delivering product to retail stores and restaurants in the Kansas City area. Must possess an A class CDL . This is a VERY physical job. Work schedule is Tuesday through Friday and will very slightly based on holidays or business needs. We offer competitive pay with driver bonuses paid each pay period.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES – Driver

  • Drives heavy “straight” truck, PUP or automobile over established route.
  • Drives in a safe and lawful manner. Maintains an acceptable driving record.
  • Cleans and performs pre-trip inspections on truck.
  • Provides excellent customer service while delivering products to retail stores or restaurants on a daily basis.
  • Rotates stock, lifts and stacks products inside customer premises.
  • Interacts with members of the sales and merchandising teams.
  • Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck or dolly.
  • Pads, stacks and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment.
  • Collects proper payment (cash or check) for invoice at time of delivery.
  • Records damages, changes and discrepancies on invoices at time of delivery.
  • Records delivery information on delivery records.
  • Collects boxes for repackaging of product.

REQUIRED SKILLS

LANGUAGE

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide two and three digit numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

SUMMARY

Fills retail customer orders by pulling bottles from rack system and placing bottles in cardboard container on conveyor system.  Pulls full cases placing them on conveyor line and loading cases by hand into trucks.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Transfer individual bottles of alcoholic product from full cases to shipping cases.
  • Use Pick-to-Voice system to determine which product and how many to ship.
  • Report out-of-stock situations to appropriate party.
  • Pull full cases of product using computer generated pick labels
  • Load individual delivery pods/trucks by route.
  • Clean warehouse after each night’s business.
  • All other duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

 

LANGUAGE

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
