Standard Beverage Corporation is looking for dependable, experienced, results-driven and customer-focused Class A Line Haul drivers for our Lawrence, Kansas distribution center. Our drivers are home nightly and enjoy 3-day weekends. Current Class A CDL with Doubles and Triple endorsement is required for this job.

SUMMARY

Our Line Haul Drivers run an established, local route, delivering fully loaded trailers to depots is Wichita, Dodge City, Junction City and Hays nightly. You will then return the empty return trailers back to the Lawrence Depot.  Must possess an A class CDL .  Work schedule is Monday night through Thursday night and will very slightly based on holidays or business needs. We offer competitive pay with driver bonuses paid each pay period.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES – Driver

  • Drives Doubles or Triples over established route.
  • Drives in a safe and lawful manner. Maintains an acceptable driving record.
  • Cleans and performs pre-trip inspections on truck.
  • Provides excellent customer service while delivering products to retail stores or restaurants on a daily basis.
  • Pads, stacks and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment.
  • Records delivery information on delivery records.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

LANGUAGE

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide two and three-digit numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

Role Description

Standard Beverage is in need of a driven, analytical, and process oriented Operations Director – Finance / Analytics to help drive best-in-class warehouse and delivery operations at our Lawrence, KS distribution center.  As the Operations Director – Finance / Analytics, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our warehouse and fulfillment processes allow us to receive, store, and ship product as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible.  This role also requires advanced financial analysis supporting the operational role as well.   Your day-to-day work will include the execution of process mapping, creating KPI performance reporting, identifying fulfillment issues and opportunities, and identifying and implementing cost saving opportunities.  We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is excited to escalate systemic issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and has a passion for accuracy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze warehouse and distribution operations, including performance and productivity data, error rates and their root causes in order to identify operational opportunities to improve processes and increase fulfillment speed and accuracy.
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate tools to execute reporting and data objectives. Manage the reporting and data toolset.
  • Develop strategies to improve comprehensive operational performance and implement these strategic recommendations.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses on specific areas of the operation including implementation of the resulting recommendations.
  • Lead operational analysis, including but not limited to: fuel usage research and analysis, maintenance records and cost review, route reviews, etc. Monitor results of warehouse operation improvement initiatives.
  • Develop reporting metrics/dashboards and present this data with a clear point of view so that insights can be used to help drive financial and operational strategy. Assist in implementing the resulting financial and operational strategy.
  • Initiate and complete inventory consolidation and capacity planning for future growth
  • Identify and implement strategies for cost efficiencies (including labor and operational processes).
  • Partner with key leadership and vendors to develop and implement strategic initiatives as identified.

 

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, engineering, or a related field and 6-8+ years of experience in operations or business operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of operations, include warehouse and distribution fundamentals.
  • Excellent analytical skills; experience using data to answer questions and solve problems; ability to identify meaningful themes in quantitative and qualitative data.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Key Account Manager is to work in collaboration with our supplier partners and our chain customers to develop and implement joint business plans to grow retailers’ sales by using analysis to identify opportunities, develop action plans, and execute flawlessly.

  • Grow sales and share in chain accounts.
  • Assume 100% responsibility for account management working in collaboration with our supplier personnel.

  1. Sales Leadership Responsibilities

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Category Space Analyst is to work in conjunction with sales reps to partner with retailers to secure and analyze retailers sales data, design, and implement new shelf set schematics which drives a retailers business while growing SBC distribution, space and sales.    The initial focus will be the beer category in our current customer base, and then evolve in the next phase into grocery and convenience stores as we plan for April 2019.  Long-term, this position could potentially evolve to work with other product categories (spirits and wine), but that evolution is not expected to occur, if at all, during the next twenty-four months.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ability and desire to learn JDA Space Planning software and category management principles which will allow you to:

    • Identify and implement appropriate processes to create and optimize well-functioning category management capability.
    • Develop and analyze merchandise assortments that deliver overall category growth through a combination of internal merchandising tools coupled with retailer specified guidelines.
    • Analyze retail and market level data to develop planogram schematics.
    • Create relevant product assortments and optimal space planning that drive sales, while working closely with suppliers, key customers and SBC team members.

Role Description

Standard Beverage is in need of a talented and motivated individual to become an integral part of our Information Technology (IT) team.  The Application Specialist position requires an individual with the capacity to decompose our current stack of applications, identify opportunities for improved user experience and efficiencies while working hand in hand with our users.  This position also requires a deep understanding of each application to create recommendations.  The candidate must be comfortable creating well-structured project plans, engaging with customers/vendors/consultants as needed and driving projects to completion on time and within budget.  In addition, this role will work closely with our Help Desk team by providing assistance to troubleshoot issues and answer questions.  Lastly, while not required, a background in a development language is desired for this role providing a baseline knowledge and ability to challenge development timelines quoted.  We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is excited to escalate systemic issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and has a passion for accuracy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead meetings related to application focused discussions to review and gather information regarding gaps in business requirements, compile and breakdown those requirements, and determine approach to fulfill those requirements leveraging existing technology investments or pursuing new ones.
  • Manage vendors/consultants targeting excellent value for their time and results.
  • Understand our business solutions and each integration point to appropriately diagnose and expediently support our business users.
  • Lead training classes to assist users in adapting to software improvements or learn how to use entirely new solutions. Create training plans and class room documentation to guide the training session succinctly and within the allocated time window.
  • Assist with system upgrades by engaging with vendors and services, creating and executing against a detailed project plan and conducting several iterations of testing before promoting changes to minimize impacts to end users.
  • Steer internal discussions to prioritize software enhancements and software projects.
  • Adhere to current documentation methodologies and contributes to existing knowledgebase.
  • Share thoughts openly with team in a constructive and conducive manner.
  • Protect the organization’s value and integrity by keeping ALL company and personnel information strictly confidential.
  • Field calls and resolve issues outside normal work hours should they occur.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4+ years)
  • Understanding and experience in:
    • MS Windows/O365

  • Travel to various locations throughout Kansas for the first few months.  This position will then transition to a permanent office residency in Lawrence, KS with periodic travel to Wichita and Lenexa.

We are currently searching for an experienced, results-driven Director of Transportation for our Lawrence, Kansas distribution center.

 

Job Description

The Director of Transportation will report directly to the Sr. Vice President of Operations and will provide overall leadership, direction and support to the Transportation team. He/she will ensure effective and efficient execution of all daily transportation operations, with additional responsibility to achieve continuously improving results in safety, quality, service, and cost performance. The Director of Transportation will have responsibility for defining and establishing solutions for long-term sustainability objectives for each area of the Transportation department; including developing and implementing specific near-term and long-range plans, as well as identifying key performance metrics for measuring and improving operational efficiencies.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both transportation and fleet management, preferably in the food or beverage industry. The candidate must possess demonstrated leadership skills as well as a history of progressive responsibility. 5+ years of experience in a senior-level transportation role is preferred. The ability to provide both strategic and tactical direction to drive continuous improvement and achieve organizational objectives is imperative. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results with a “hands-on” management approach. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Transportation department, including direct management of 30+ employees.
  • Evaluate existing transportation and delivery framework (equipment, processes, people, technology, etc.) to understand how we can improve and build on the existing system.
  • Drive and actively manage initiatives, programs, and processes that support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Apply practices that motivate employees, relay growth opportunities, drive execution of policies/ procedures and implement corrective measures if necessary to ensure productivity levels are met.
  • Plan, monitor and follow-up on daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards while maximizing asset utilization.
  • Evaluate current systems, procedures and develop/implement appropriate metrics routinely to measure statistics and progress in all functional areas of transportation and delivery.
  • Lead the Transportation team in the achievement of all KPI’s and driver scorecard goals, including those related to safety, productivity, efficiency and customer service.
  • Establish objectives that ensure financial performance, safety, quality, and customer service in compliance with all applicable internal and external policies.
  • Evaluate customer routing and identify, develop and implement appropriate strategies to ensure operational efficiencies are maximized.
  • Manage and record all repairs, maintenance, fuel and operational costs of the fleet.
  • Implement and continuously improve fleet rotation programs to maximize efficiency and asset utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA rules and regulations including documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate the investigation of accidents or unsafe acts/conditions through enforcement of the company safety initiative.
  • Enforce general company policies through coaching and disciplinary documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Transportation management roles, preferably in the food/beverage industry.
  • Experience in managing a fleet of 50+ trucks.
  • Strong background in process improvement/efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated planning, project management, problem solving techniques and analytical skills; able to partner and communicate with all levels of an organization from hourly associates to senior management, as well as with customer contacts.
  • Strong, working knowledge of Roadnet (Omnitracs) or other fleet management systems.
  • Able to understand financial statements and resulting cost implications.
  • Results oriented attitude with a proven track record of ensuring key deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrated integrity and honesty in all aspects.
  • DOT/FMCSA/ OSHA experience preferred.

Role Description

Standard Beverage is in need of a driven, analytical, and process oriented Director – Operations Finance to help drive best-in-class warehouse and delivery operations at our Lawrence, KS distribution center.  This role requires advanced financial analysis capabilities as a core component of this position.  As the Director – Operations Finance, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our warehouse and fulfillment processes allow us to receive, store, and ship product as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible.  Your day-to-day work will include the execution of process mapping, creating KPI performance reporting, identifying fulfillment issues and opportunities, and identifying and implementing cost saving opportunities.  We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is excited to escalate systemic issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and has a passion for accuracy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop reporting metrics/dashboards and present this data with a clear point of view so that insights can be used to help drive financial and operational strategy. Assist in implementing the resulting financial and operational strategy.
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate tools to execute reporting and data objectives. Manage the reporting and data toolset.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses on specific areas of the operation including implementation of the resulting recommendations.
  • Identify and implement strategies for cost efficiencies (including labor and operational processes).
  • Analyze warehouse and distribution operations, including performance and productivity data, error rates and their root causes in order to identify operational opportunities to improve processes and increase fulfillment speed and accuracy.
  • Develop strategies to improve comprehensive operational performance and implement these strategic recommendations.
  • Lead operational analysis, including but not limited to: fuel usage research and analysis, maintenance records and cost review, route reviews, etc. Monitor results of warehouse operation improvement initiatives.
  • Initiate and complete inventory consolidation and capacity planning for future growth
  • Partner with key leadership and vendors to develop and implement strategic initiatives as identified.

Essential job duties:

  • Receiving of all inbound shipments using a fork truck to unload pallets from trucks.
  • Confirm inbound shipments and reconcile shipments against BOL’s, PO’s and invoices.

Our Line Haul drivers enjoy static routes, are home daily, and have 3 day weekends. Current Class A CDL with Doubles and Triple endorsements is required for this job. Work schedule is Monday thru Thursday from approximately 8PM until 6AM. You will have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. You will transfer trailers from our distribution center in Lawrence to a depot in Wichita, Junction City, Dodge City or Hays, Kansas. Job Responsibilities:

Accurately pick cases using printed pick labels, RF gun or voice command

Placing individual cases onto conveyor lines while maintaining product quality

Meet all productivity requirements

Safely operate a fork lift or cherry picker to pull product (lift driver positions only)

Requirements:

You must be able to report for all assigned shifts

This is a very physical job! You must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand/walk continuously for 10-12 hours, and be able to frequently push, carry, pull, kneel, squat, bend, twist, and reach

Must be able to perform tasks efficiently and accurately in a fast paced environment

Must be able to communicate and interact well with coworkers and managers

Ability to function with minimal supervision and handle multiple task simultaneously

Must be able to work in a loud environment around conveyor systems and moving equipment

Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment. Temperatures in our warehouse may vary between 60 and 90 degrees, and may occasionally exceed 90 degrees.

Must be at least 18 years old

Willing and able to work all shifts
